ACTA (Amitié et Carrière à Travers l’Aéronautique) Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting aviation among the Swiss public and to providing networking, mentoring and scholarships opportunities for women (and men) who show a strong interest for aviation and aeronautic industries.
The following goals have been established :
GENERAL GOALS :
- Improve information given to the public about what aviation as an industry could offer.
- Develop educational and professional opportunities in all the different aeronautical sectors.
- Promote, encourage and increase the percentage of women working in aeronautical sectors.
SPECIFIC GOALS :
- Create special events (for example: information days, open doors days, information sessions through professional people…).
- Networking of the different partners to better show what’s already existing (for example: YES programs, Pro Aero Camp).
- Promote educational and professional opportunities working together with the different political partners.
- Find sponsors and mentors to create educational and professional opportunities (trainees places, exchange…). Actually in Switzerland, careers opportunities are strongly linked with an army career.
- Networking by encouraging everybody who has an interest to participate to the promotion of aviation.
- Building a « WAI (Woman in Aviation) » section.
- Seek for scholarships and financial help in a long term vision.
